The 2021 fall sports season was highly successful and one to remember. First, the boys soccer team showed their persistence this season while playing against some of the top teams in the state with only one to two subs. Congratulations on a hard-fought season. Next, the girls soccer team had one of the most successful season of the past few years. The Panthers surpassed Concordia Academy to the Section Semi-Finals, where they lost a tight match against #2 ranked St. Croix Prep. Congratulations on a 11-6 season! The football team, Academy Force, also had a great season. Congratulations to Cameron Bartholomay, Hunter Scheible, and Jay Green, who represented MPA on the team. Next, the tennis team did not disappoint. They made it all the way to the Section Finals! They lost to the future State Champion. Last, but certainly not least, the girls swim team partnered up with Saint Croix Prep to form the “Blue Wave.” In sections, the relay of Josie MacDonald, Annabelle Vale, Mansi Stiles (SCPA), and Ceci Mayer (SCPA) received eighth place! Congratulations panthers on amazing seasons!
The Mounds Park Academy volleyball team also had an amazing season this past fall. With the team taking their second trip to State in three years, they did not disappoint. Going 18-3 on the season, they didn’t lose a single set in the conference, and many of the players made impressive individual accomplishments too.
Despite all the games the volleyball team won, going to State was a major highlight of the season. Responding to the environment and mindset that the players were put in because of the student section, Zoe Mulvihill, a junior on the team, says, “It was really fun having the whole high school there to support the team and it meant a lot to me. For everyone to be dressed up and cheering together was so cool and it was fun to be excited with the students when they would cheer after a big point.”
